Dr. Amanda Signaigo-Owens, DC
Dr. Signaigo graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa, and was also a presidential scholar. Her undergraduate education was at Westminster College in Fulton Missouri, where she also graduated with honors.
Dr. Signaigo, a Missouri native, settled into the Columbia area for a number of reasons. “People are really interested in health and well being and that is such a great compliment to the mission of our office” she says.
A dedication to life long learning has enabled Dr. Signaigo to be familiar with a number of different chiropractic techniques. “One of the greatest aspects of chiropractic care is that it is tailored to each patients specific needs. If someone is interested in traditional chiropractic care we can do that, if they request a low force technique that is extra gentle, our office is happy to accommodate and will meet each person on their individual comfort levels.”
Dr. Signaigo’s passion is in helping people achieve a higher quality of life through proper health and wellness care. She sees patients of all ages, and has emphasized her post-graduate studies on pediatric, infant, and pre-natal care. Currently Dr. Signaigo is one of the only certified Webster practitioners (a technique utilized specifically in pregnancy) in the Columbia area.
Sacral misalignment causes the tightening and torsion of specific pelvic muscles and ligaments. It is these tense muscles and ligaments and their constraining effect on the uterus which prevents the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth. The Webster Technique is defined as a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic structures, muscles and ligaments. This has been shown to reduce the effects of intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth.

Lucinda is from Lake of the Ozarks Missouri. She is a wonderful addition to the staff and will be available to answer any questions you have as you begin care at Tiger Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center. Lucinda is a certified lifestyle educator with our First Line Therapy Program.
